Just watched the opening ceremony for London (kinda coped out for the Walk of Nations seeing as US is at... well, pretty darn close to the end) and I'm fairly impressed. I thought it'd be impossible to top Beijing, and I was right, but London did a pretty darn good job following that fantastic display. I'm excited for the Olympics - summer is by far my favorite compared to winter - but I'll sadly be traveling tomorrow so I'll miss any events that go up tomorrow night.
I've been on vacation this past week and my friend showed me this site, so I've been fairly busy trying to work my way around it and learn all of the ins and outs. I'm fairly certain I still have a long way to go, but we'll see where this takes me. :) Since I've been on vacation I've gotten a ton of writing done, which I'm sure some of my friends are very grateful for. I write fun stuff that will never see the light of day with a couple of my friends, and then I'm writing a serious set of novels with another college friend. Once I find all of my notes (which seem to scatter themselves everywhere) I'll finish catching up. Does anyone else seem to have that problem? Scenes literally get lost around my room...
I'm excited to be going home though - I miss my own bed... as well as my Xbox 360. Mass Effect has literally consumed my life for the past two months and I don't regret a single minute that I've put into that game. It probably has concerned my mother, but I can't help it. I love the character and the story line - even if I do think the ending was a heart breaker - but I continue to play it. Garrus Vakarian is by far my favorite character, followed by Thane and Joker. This darn fandom has got me plotting fanfiction again, which is a terrible idea. I already went down that dark, glorious road once and I don't think I need to go down it again. We'll see. xD
Off to watch Beijing opening ceremonies again, just because, then probably go digging for ME fan fic on this site. Sleep? I'll sleep in the car.
